Lightforce is an excellent instrumental track from Mind.in.a.box’s new album, R.E.T.R.O. – which is a tribute to the old 8-bit electronic music that was made on a Commodore 64 computer many years ago. Highly recommended!

A hauntingly beautiful electronic ballad by Schiller, featuring the unmistakable voice of Peter Heppner from Wolfsheim.

Mesh recently posted this club-friendly instrumental version of Trust You on YouTube – complete with posterized video of the group dancing to it. It’s a really great arrangement of this song – lots of layered synth goodness and a strong, driving beat.

“Rage” is the first single from the new De/vision album, Popgefahr.

There is some very good modern synthpop produced around the world that is not sung in English. Among the best of these groups is Silica Gel from Spain. Here is their club-friendly hit, ¿Dónde Estás?, from their 2008 album, Exodo.

The Greek synthpop duo Marsheaux does a marvelously bright and bouncy cover of Pure, the 1989 pop hit from The Lightning Seeds. I listened to the original song before posting this, and I must say – I like Marsheaux’s update of it much better!

This is a classic mid-tempo synthpop song by Seven Red Seven – a group that, unfortunately, is no longer with us today.

This song is the first single from Babylonia’s new album, Motel la Solitude. Great song!

A very nice melodic song by that Swedish synthpop sensation, Lowe.
